Recently, the 7" HC-C type tie back seal nipple developed by Shelfoil successfully completed the liner hanger and remedial cementing operations in the Fuyuan block, successfully solving the complex well conditions that prevented the normal completion of liner cementing due to a short circuit in the drilling tool. The quality cementing tools and integrated solution provided by our company for this well won the full recognition of the Production Capacity Construction Division (Tazhong) of CNPC Tarim Oilfield.

As a key development well deployed by Tarim Oilfield Branch in the Fu Man oil and gas field. The well was completed at a depth of 7,273m with a temperature of 145°C and a drilling fluid density of 1.36g/cm³. During the liner hanger period, two Φ47mm copper sulphide balls were put into the well without pressure, and mud was found to have returned from the drilling tool through reverse pressure. The technical service engineer reported the relevant parameters in time. Based on the analysis and judgment, the experts found that the pipe string was leaking at around 4000m through testing. After communicating with the Party A, it was decided that the drilling tools would be lifted out upside down first, and then the next step would be discussed. After the drilling tool was lifted out, the operators found that a serious leak occurred at 3985m in the body of the male buckle of the drilling tool.

In response to the complex situation of this well, Shelfoil formed a technical team to discuss the remediation plan, further optimised and guided the construction operation procedures and contingency plans, and quickly organised the return of the cementing tool attachment and delivered it to the well site. During the final construction process, the on-site technical service engineers were on duty 24 hours a day, strictly following the operation procedures and accurately controlling all aspects.

The "two birds with one stone" model of technological innovation not only achieved the successful hanging of the liner hanger, but also completed the tie back cementing operation, and the successful application of this well also provided valuable experience for the later cementing construction of this type of complex well conditions. The " Shelfoil" brand tools are not only reliable in quality, but also leading in the field of cementing tools with their technological innovation.
