On 9 March, the key exploration well Yuan Shen X was successfully constructed with a 13 3/8" x 10 3/4" NDPX-CS balance type infinite circulation liner hanger tool developed by Shelfoil Company. It further demonstrated the unique advantages of the tool in handling complex well conditions in ultra-deep wells, and also won the full recognition of the Exploration Branch and Zhongyuan Drilling Company.

Yuan Shen X well is a key exploratory well deployed by the group in northeast Sichuan, designed for a depth of 8,680m. 6,800m deep in three open completions, with a bottomhole temperature of 153°C, a mud density of 2.20g/cm³, a bare borehole diameter expansion rate of only 1.56%, a narrow pressure window, an active gas formation, and a maximum of 99% full hydrocarbons. In order to solve the problems of gas and water in the same layer, serious mud pollution, overflow and leakage, small annular space gap and difficulties in liner entry, the technical support project team of Shelfoil Company and the relevant technical personnel of the central war zone simulated the construction parameters in detail, and after full discussion, formulated a complete set of construction technology plan, and selected the on-site technical expert service team to provide technical support throughout the whole process, and strictly controlled the tool inspection, measure docking and The team of on-site technical experts was selected to provide technical support throughout the whole process, strictly controlling the inspection of tools, the docking of measures and the operation process to ensure the implementation of the technical plan. During the construction process, the tool withstood the test of 120 hours of high temperature and pressure, high mud specific gravity and long time cycle erosion in the well, and the liner hanger was successfully lowered, hung and dropped in one go.
